Safety Assessments

Human Factors is an integral part of the safety case and safety management process. All systems have a human element (whether operated, maintained or installed by a human).

Human Factors Safety Assessments are typically used to substantiate safety claims made upon human actions. Our safety assessments experience ranges from deterministic assessment to full Probalistic Safety Assessments (PSA). We actively support and integrate Human Factors within Safety Cases and Safety Assurance.

Technical activities include the whole range of human factors tasks. Many of the safety cases required probalistic safety assessments and significant levels of support including human error and human reliability assessments. Human Reliability Assessment tools which have been extensively used include HEART, THERP and APJ.
